The team weren't looking for a new website until they realised it wasn’t just “marketing”, but the first step of their client journey. Once that clicked, we set out to make DP look and feel like a great financial advice firm to work with.

Project goals

This project kicked off alongside process consulting with our founder, Patrick Flynn.

When you look at your client journey end to end, it starts before anyone calls or walks in. It starts on your website.

Together we identified an opportunity to modernise the site, apply best practice for financial advice firms, and showcase DP’s strengths: Long-running media appearances, deep local commitment in Toowoomba, and consistent leadership in their work. We restarted from the ground up, beginning with copy to inform the redesign, then built for clarity and functionality for clients and the advice team.

Our approach

We ran discovery sessions to define DP’s ideal clients and what motivates the team, balancing their Toowoomba roots with national profile built through media and speaking. With the copy locked, we delivered our usual fast, secure, mobile adaptive foundation.

Speaking to the right people

We focused the site on three core audiences and wove content paths for each, so the right visitors instantly feel they’re in the right place. Plain English was important and needed to go beyond “no jargon”, it meant true clarity in every interaction.

Thought leadership and media credibility

A refreshed Insights hub surfaces timely articles, while a Media page consolidates recognition (FS Power50, ausbiz, ABC Radio, Livewire, ASA). The treatment reinforces national credibility without feeling out of place for regional clients.

Trust and practicality, baked in

A live Google Business Profile reviews feed sits on the homepage. Pragmatic touches such as direct client portal logins and even local parking guidance reduce friction at every step.

Aged care advice

We carefully balanced DP’s stockbroking heritage, their comprehensive advice model, and a dedicated aged care offer. A focused Aged Care page triages enquiries directly to the in-house specialist, giving prospects a clear, no hunt pathway.
