Instructions
- Go to search.google.com/search-console and sign in with your Google account.
- Click Add property.
- Enter your website URL, select URL prefix and click Continue.
- Google will prompt you to verify ownership of your site. Select Google Analytics as your verification method if your Google Analytics account is already connected to your website.
- Click Verify. Google will detect your existing tag and verify ownership instantly.
- Go to Sitemaps in the left-hand menu.
- Enter your sitemap URL (yourwebsite.com.au/sitemap.xml) and click Submit.
- To link Google Search Console with Google Analytics, open Google Analytics and go to Admin.
- Under the Property column, select Search Console Links and click Link.
- Select the Search Console property that matches your website, choose the relevant data stream and click Submit.
- Search Console data will now appear in Google Analytics under Reports > Acquisition > Search Console. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for data to begin populating.
